The University of Pennsylvania and Wharton School are launching a 3 year J.D. and M.B.A. program. The program will include a first year in the Law School followed by a balance of Law and Wharton classes from the first summer until the end of the third year. This is the country’s first completely integrated 3 year program offered by elite law and business schools.
The program will target students with two years of work experience who are looking to be entrepreneurs or have careers in investment banking, private equity, or similar fields. Applicants must be admitted to both schools in order to enroll in the 3 year program. They must also meet the Law School mandated 70 hours of supervised legal work in a pro-bono setting before they are able to graduate.
